Job Overview:

EmBark is looking for applicants who are available to work flexible schedules Monday through Friday during our dog-walking hours from 9 AM - 4:30 PM. On occasion during client vacations an there may be times that an early AM or PM visit may be needed. Responsibilities include safely walking dogs of various sizes and breeds to and from their homes, providing clean water and food as required, wiping paws after every walk, working with clients/dog owners regarding special requests — and of course — providing love and care for our clients’ dogs!

Job Responsibilities:

• Walk dogs in various weather conditions

• Take all necessary precautions to ensure that dogs and those around them are safe

• Record information through our business App about each dog walk, the duration of each walk, and if there were any unusual or abnormal observations during the walk/visit

• Communicate such information with client after each walk with clients/dog owners, including sharing photos and videos

• Pick up and dispose of pet waste

• Ensure that dogs have fresh water and food, as necessary

• Follow a daily schedule

• Provide your own transportation 

Job Requirements:

• Preferred: High school diploma or GED

• Valid driver’s license

• Clean driving record

• Vehicle insured in your own name

• Cell Phone

• Proven experience working with dogs

• Working knowledge of positive reinforcement dog training

• Sound understanding of dog behavior

• The ability to walk for long periods of time

• Patient, punctual, and reliable

• Trustworthy and responsible

• Successful applicants will undergo a background check

Pet Sitter

As Needed, Contractual

Job Overview:

EmBark Animal Club is looking to hire a reliable and trustworthy pet sitter to care for pets while their owners are away. Responsibilities include: cat playtime, small animal care (reptiles, birds, and small mammals), morning and evening care, and overnight care as needed staying at clients’ homes. Some visits may include providing care to several animals of various species.

At a minimum, the successful candidate should have some knowledge of animal behavior and be adept at caring for all kinds of pets. An outstanding pet sitter candidate should demonstrate excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

Job Responsibilities:

• Meet with clients/pet owners as needed and collaborate efficiently with EmBark business owners, as necessary, to gather pertinent pet care information and discuss pet sitting duties

• Provide pets with food and fresh water

• Administer medications to pets according to the instructions provided by clients/pet owners as shared by EmBark business owners

• Clean litter boxes, cages, and aquariums, as well as change bedding for small mammals

• Exercise pets as needed, including taking dogs out for regular walks

• Provide regular updates to pet owners, communicating with them using our business App, by sending video clips, photos and pertinent information to client after every visit.

• Promptly notify EmBark owners of pet illnesses or injuries that may occur during visits.

• Ensure the safety of pets, people, and property while pet sitting

Job Requirements:
