Frequently Asked Questions
Services & Rates
-
Will I have the same pet sitter/dog walker every visit?
We always try our best to have the same sitter or walker assigned to your pet on each set of visits. If the visits are for an extended period of time then there will be another Sitter assigned.
-
Will you walk my dog if the weather is terrible?
When temperatures are very cold and unsafe to walk, we will offer a potty break and then safely play in the comfort of your home. During the summer months we will monitor the heat and humidity. If you would like us to carry water for your dog, please let us know. We do walk in rain, as long as there is no extreme weather.
-
Do you clean, as well?
We will always leave your home the way you did. Please remember to leave a towel out to dry your dog when wet. Our Specialists will always remove the rubbish on last visit. We do ask that you leave your home clean for us as well, especially litter boxes.
-
What precautions are you taking during the ongoing COVID pandemic?
If any of our sitters or walker are not feeling well we do ask them to stay home. Please inform us if you are home sick and still need a walk. We will then ask for a garden pick up.
-
What happens if there is an emergency with my pet?
With your account in Time to Pet, you will add your primary Veterinarian. If an emergency does arise we will call you immediately and we do have a number of emergency hospitals that are available.
-
What if I need a walk around 6 or 7pm?
Our business hours are 9-530pm. If you require any services before or after these times, please refer to AM or PM care. Our last walk of the evening is 7pm.
Pet Sitters & Dog Walkers
-
Can I meet my pet sitter/dog walker before the first visit?
All our sitters are screened by us and have the same expectations in the level of service that they are to provide. You will meet with Victor or Juli for a complimentary consultation. Your sitters bio will be in Time to Pet and you can communicate with them through Time to Pet. We will be present on the first visit to introduce the sitter to your pet.
-
Can I have a family member checking on my pet, as well?
We do ask that we are the only person sitting for your pet while you are gone. We will not share pet sitting responsibilities with neighbors or family members. Please let us know if you will have anyone who has access to your home while you are gone, for example house cleaners, maintenance, construction team.
-
How do you keep my keys, home, and possessions safe?
We do ask for 2 sets of keys to your home that we keep safe in a locked area. Keys are not labelled with any addresses and are inventoried weekly.
